Up to the challenge.

Training

Mercury Marine offers extensive training in all engine technologies including Verado, four stroke, OptiMax, and Mercruiser. This training certifies technicians for installation, maintenance, and warranty work.

Mercury understands that Government agencies have specific needs that may not coincide with that of normal Mercury dealers. Because of this important detail, Mercury University has created a program available only to government agencies. This program offers the same professional training that is available to all Mercury dealers at all levels.

Government organizations that have a valid Mercury customer number (contact the Government Sales desk to set up a customer account) may send their technicians and mechanics to Mercury Service Schools at no charge. There are twelve US locations and six Canadian locations. Travel, lodging, and other expenses must be covered by the government agency. It is recommended that government agencies follow the same course guidelines as regular Mercury dealers, however, the University will honor some compatible courses offered by their government units. Each class must be approved by Mercury University and will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

Mercury University will go to whatever lengths possible within the program parameters, to help your agencies get their technicians trained in as short of a time as possible. Course catalogs are available from the Government Sales department. Special training requests for large groups and special situations can be requested through the university. A special training form must be filled out and submitted for review.

To further enhance training, E-Skills courses are available for purchase. These courses can also be found in the Mercury University catalog.
